Anyone try installing the rear shades?

Just wondered if anyone ever tried retrofitting the eshades to a lux. interior. List on the BMW parts is not so bad, $424 for the complete shade assembly, $211 for the shelf. I assume the button is $20... get a discount maybe $500 operation and a little DIY.

Do you think the 3 wire harness is already prewired in the M5?

I personally haven't tried doing this myself but you should know that when I originally ordered my car, I wanted the black luxury interior with the sunshades. I was told that this wasn't possible because of the thickness of the leather on the doors. I also looked into a retrofit too but that never panned out. I ended up going with the lemans sports interior instead.

Others may be able to help you out though.
