Greg. I have just ordered this kit but can you tell me how easy it was to remove the trim and old handle/switch ?
Did all the trim go back OK or need you need to order any new clips ? Also what is the 'insertion tool' that is mentioned ?

Installing most of the kit is very easy. The handle is no problem at all.

By far the most difficult bit is threading the wires through the rubber grommet between the boot lid and the rear wing. You WILL need to use some sort of lubrication to get the wires through. The kit comes with a shortish length of plastic rod to which you can tape the wires and use this to thread through the grommet. The pins can be inserted into the TV multi plug very easily, they just slide into place - if you get them in the wrong place they are a little more difficult to remove! There is a vampire type connection to the left reversion light which activates the camera. Take a little time installing the actual camera unit, the plate to which it attaches should be flat and not bowed out in the middle.

All went fairly easy no busted clips, the handle came out easy and the only holdup was the running of the cable from the bootlid into the boot. The special tool is just a stiff piece of plastic cable that is meant to help pull the loom through and into the boot, on the first attempt it just pulled of the loom. I don't like using scotch locks so I soldered all my connections and the one thing I'm still not happy with is the way the camera plate fits, but I'm working to sort that out. If you want you are welcome to come to me and I'll give you a hand with fitting it. I love having it on my car and it's a great show off, now trying to see how much the front camera will set me back.
