Custom Dyno Tune

I am taking my car to be custom dyno tuned at Eurocharged in Chi-town. I have never had this done, or know hardly anything about it.

What can I expect?

Are there any parts I should replace prior to going?

Are there any inexpensive aftermarket parts I should install that would help?

Remember, I have straight pipes, meaning no mufflers.

Dont Do it not worth it why push the motor to the limit with tunning you need to add power adders and tunning to adjust the comp for the mods Dinan is the best depending on mods except for the addition of an ESS blower then you use ESS software

straight pipes dont do much except for alot of noise... I have SS race cats not worth the occasional SES light very rare for cat efficiency.... get some big metallic substrates and have fun....

I wouldnt bother, the gains you will see would be neglible at best. Custom tuning would be more beneficial for someone with a full S2 setup or atleast headers and etc. I think it would probably be more cost effective to get just the Shark injector and call it a day. Custom dyno tuning can be pretty pricey.

I would save the money for problems that will come up having someone think that they can do a custom tune on the s62.... btw their are some guys out their that can get you a great custom tune but is it worth the $1000s of dollars

I dont quite know why your set on because hes getting it tuned its going to blow his motor. If the tuner has half a brain hes not going to tune it to 18:1 AF. I am not sure what the optimal AF ratio is on an NA S62, but i have a strong feeling that from the factory BMW was pretty damn close.

Edit- I will disregard this post, after reading about your experiences with custom software, i understand why you are hesitant about it. Really it depends, there are some great tuners that have incredible talent when it comes to custom tuning. Some on the other hand think they know a lot more than they really do.

Im not saying its gonna blow..... im just giving an example but it could be something along those line or the car keeps on having a rough idle or when im decelerating it feels rough these are issues that I wouldnt like to have to iron out with a tune ya know what Im saying Bro.... LOL
