Who makes the OEM wheels for BMW? Who makes the best aftermarket wheels?

the April Bimmer mag hinted in one article that OEM wheels for BMW were made by an Italian manufacturer. i always though BBS made wheels for BMW. perhaps there are more than one manufacturer making wheels for BMW.

i noticed that on F1 cars the wheels are either BBS or OZ. in your opinion who makes the best aftermarket wheels in terms of quality.

I read the exact same article today and had the same thought... I thought most BMW wheels were German (wither BBS or Ronal). I also thought that he was being to nice to the X type....

Some of the best wheels out there are made by BBS, Ronal, O.Z., Fikse, and Kinesis. Some of the stuff from Fikse and Kinesis is amazing.

I think BMW rims are made by BBS and Ronal depending on the type... I think for racing wheels, OZ and BBS probably makes the best ones.... as for road wheels, I still don't have a clue... :p
