GT1 Tester

Hello everybody

Does anybody in here own the gt1 scanner?. Its because that i have seen the gt1 system with everything (IBM T30 laptop, yellow box, cables, software,) all of it for $500. Isnt that a good price for it ?. Or should i go for another scanner?. Isnt the gt1 tester the best scanning tool for the BMW.?

The GT1 is the best for scanning BMW's. 500 USD seems really cheap for that set up. Most of the ones I have
seen on Ebay go for almost 2,000 USD. If you can, test it before you buy it, either this one or one for more money. I have heard of the DK heads (yellow box) being cheap home made unit's that don't always work.

As far as testers go GT1 is the best... If however youre just trying to test your MAFS you can do it without any tester. Do a search or maybe someone can post instructions. I dont know them off the top of my head.

You can NOT remap the car with the GT1. If you get on setup with PROGMAN then you can program modules one the car, but only with BMW factory software.
