Stainless Steel Knobs for the 16:9 head unit

Many of you have seen these in my previous threads and have inquired about them. However, producing them was a pain and time consuming since it involved the "sacrifice" of an OEM knob to get the fitting for the head unit pin. This is why I was able to have them made but in very limited quantities (I can count the number of board members who have these with one hand). But now we came up with an idea to skip that and make for easier production. I thought that a limited production run for the E39 guys is in order.

If you haven't seen these, here are some pictures:

These are simple plug&play knobs. Remove the old ones, insert the new ones.

Price: $40 for the set (shipped to the US).

This is basically a thread to gauge interest. After a week or two of the thread being open, we'll start production. Now, please keep in mind that this is done in our spare time (because we have to borrow the equipment), so production times may vary. However, it'll get based on a first-come basis (which is what the list will be for). I will, of course, post updates as they come.

$40? I'm definitely in.

I did see some other knobs that I liked better though. They had more of a knurled edge and had an o-ring on them if I remember correctly.

Ahh I almost just did this with some off the shelve electronic control knobs, most about $5-15 a knob. I mostly looked at airplane control knobs. I even thought of getting some guitar amp knobs. But I couldn't find one that goes to 11.

The one thing that I didn't like about all the off shelve knobs was they all used a set screw to secure the knob. How are these attached? A loose press fit like the OEM knobs? If they are like the OEM ones I would be interested.

EDIT: I didn't see the simple plug and play. I'm down.

I have a set of these. They are beautiful and make all the difference in the world, particularly if you have the titanium/brushed aluminum interior!

You just push them in. The center is PVC so that it's easier to go in but won't come off if, say, a child tries to pull it out.
