I don't think it needs a sport button anymore, not with the power heading toward 800hp. More like a anti-gravity shoe on the right foot.

Excellent project. I wish I could see some videos of it actually running or a drive-by.
This is so perverted and same time so cool.
Just using pure cold logic and being purely rational, cutting out all emotions, the best engine is the most high-powered, cheapest to maintain and most reliable engine. I don't care where that engine comes from, but it should be in the car. I love the s62 but don't think it's close to perfect.

What is the torque curve like?? Torque we love

heres a cool dyno comparison courtesy of microsoft paint:

ESS supercharged M5

VS

Stock M5

VS

stock 2JZGTE longblock w/ HKS 264 cams & borgwarner S300SX turbocharger

edt: it would be cool to wire the sport button to be a high boost setting

i think people who were wondering about the sport button were asking regarding the steering effects..

Been busy with work and the holidays. Also had some issues with the car not starting over the past month. I seem to have fixed the issue with a high output alternator. The supra motor's alternator is just 90 amps compared to the M5's 120 amps. I went with a 160 amp alternator and its charging the battery just fine now. Not too much to update. Still working out some other minor kinks here and there, but the car drives great.

The sport button no longer works and has no effect on the steering. However, I do note that the steering is tight as if the sport button were on all the time. Perhaps it's a slightly weaker power steering pump off the 2JZ motor.

Pretty interesting statistics on weight of the S62 and 2JZ motors. I'm not surprised the 2JZ is heavier given the all steel block. I don't have an actual print out of the dyno chart yet, hopefully I can get a hold of one soon and post it up to compare to the supercharged S62s.

I've actually been kicking the idea of selling the car. There have been some other investment opportunities at the moment that are quite appealing, so I could use the cash. I just don't know how much I'd be able to get for it.

What!!! After all that work bud. But, am sure if the investments work out there are bigger/better things in your future. I am afraid to PM you for a $$, someone would have to notarize my divorce papers!!
