How's the BMW Performance holding up? How about other brands?
I get them for about 275 from www.bmminiparts.com by the way !! All Genuine BMW Discs !

Yeah but then I still have the shipping problem... I would like to get the stoptech but CA Automotive charges much more than what Dave Z has on his website.

Contacted Movit... They want 3770 for the 4 pot 345mm set, insane!

Been looking at this thread guys and just a couple of points/questions.

Kumaran. How do i find the kit through bmminiparts? Looks like a realoem type site but i can't locate the kit.

Secondly. For all you UK members, Redish Motorsport is currently in development of this exact kit for M5 owners. I know myself and him have already spoken about it a few times and i am going to br the UK "test mule" for the kit when the brackets are adapted. Note these brackets are to be machined so the use of washers and the like to space the caliper won't be needed in the finished kit

This might give people some food for thought, or an oppurtunity to see them first without Driving over to Belgium, or buying just based on pictures without knowing what they are getting into first.

I'm not here to step on toes, but this is a forum after all and it just gives others sometimes another option should they be based in a different country

My first concern was as Kumaran suggested the disc size. Not really the diameter, but the width, however looking on here and with my Discussions with James at Redish, i think that it won't be a problem. Theres been talk of M3 CSL disks but the main concern at the moment is with the offset so its still at a development stage if you require different disks also

Cannot make my mind between the Stoptechs and the BMW Performance... the smaller disc size on the BMW performance and the ugly colour are certainly rather annoying.

At the moment its what I'm leaning to, yes.

I dont see much of power upgrades for the car or suspension for that matter (its my daily driver, prefer the comfort). But the brakes is the one spot where I found the M5 to miss the most... the stock ones are good enough for daily driving, but if you push it, they fade way too fast (1 lap on the ring and they are different already).

Do you know if the Stoptechs fit in your 17" winter wheels? I know they fit in the stock 18" wheels, not sure about 17"...

Good point Frits! Forgot about that

Anyone with style 66 wheels with stoptech brakes?

I can do the cutout test as well and see if they fit.
