Anyone know what the best stainless steel exhaust cleaners are out on the market .... Cleaning l guess could be done by a wet rag, but what about a good polisher that gets that new unused look back.
Thanks ....APPLES

Try Luster Lace, it comes in cloth strips you can wrap around your exhaust pipes and polish them. They also make a sealant that makes cleaning the pipes real easy.
I buy mine at www.properautocare.com
Mother's works great as a cleaner but I was wondering about using a polisher to give us that "ultimate" shine without the swirl marks! Wouldn't it be prudent to try using paint cleaner, glaze and wax on chrome pieces?

I should have been a bit more clear...I meant on the "metals" on the car.
And there are chrome parts on the car although they're not necessarily metal. I'm talking about the kidney grille and the badges. Gee, I can't even think of any other part on the M5 that's chromed too!
I agree with you, I just use the same products on exhaust (chrome or ss) that I do on the rest of my car. I think the hard core metal cleaners will do a better job but most likely due to the fact that they are very abbrasive.

TCM, you actually need the abrasiveness for those pipes, inside or out because they pick up and bake on road stuff like black tar specs. The insides are coated with black carbon like stuff. I just find Mothers a cheap and easy solution. Can be had a most autoparts stores.
