X-pipe with Muffler delete?!

Guys,

Timmay recently posted a similar thread asking if anybody is running such a setup, and how they felt about it. Nobody responded and I really could use some insight here. I love the sound of Timmay's exhaust (no mufflers), however, he is not running an X-pipe. Will adding an X-pipe to the equation make the setup too loud? I don't need my M5 sounding like a nascar as it's my everday driver...

I also hate my current muffler tips and would like SOME more sound...but is the system in question going to be rediculous? I know somebody has, or know somebody who has or has had this setup..please?!

I am getting me new tips with the Y-pipe in a couple of days and not sure if I should hack off my cans and have new pipes bent for the Y-pipes. It
would clearly become a decent sized investment if I have to do this, then have them reverse their work if I decide it sounds like ***** or a nascar...

I would really appreciate anything I can get here guys as far as constructive opinions...if you don't know, what do you think??!! How would this sound??

Do you have resonators on the car now? Right now for the time being I have the stock resonator with the mufflers cut off. It sounds real good. I dont think an x-pipe with the (stock) resonator will increase the sound level too much.

Is your B&B welded in or clamped in? If it is clamped, take them off and give it a listen to see if you like it. It will sound ALMOST the same as if you had the tips on. If they are welded, buy some clamps, cut them off, give it a listen, and clamp them back on if you don't like it. I bought some really nice 304 stainless clamps from Jegs for $14 a piece.

I ran x-pipe, no mufflers, custom tips for a while to see how it sounded. Look it up on youtube "Garrett's M5 No Mufflers".

It was very, very loud, much louder and raw than x-pipe with Eisenmann. Lots of bass, droning, pops, Nascar sound, etc...sounded cool but it was just way too loud LOL.

My favorite sound is x-pipe with Eisenmann.

so does he still have the x-pipe with the tips or did he change back to another setup. reason i ask is that i just got rid of my mufflers and put on tips and its still a tad bit quiet for my liking. i wish they came with a volume control.

That sounds crazy. A bit loud for everyday use though. I guess my options are slim. I need to find someone who wants to trade Kelleners for my Billyboat plus cash. Maybe someone selling their M5 and doesn't care? No likely..

Bad day for me. X-pipe is great but is forcing me to not run straight pipes and keep my fugly exhaust tips
