2001 M5 with Borla Exhaust/K&N filter and BFgoodrich drag radials Times UPDATED!!!!!

Guys,

This is an update for my 2001 M5 with Borla Exhaust/K&N filter and BFgoodrich drag radials Times.

I had the apportunity to run the car 3 times and the fastest was 12.887 at 108.2 MPH. My 1/8 mile ET was 8.34 MPH and 60 foot was 1.983. I will post the slip next week when I can get my hand on a scanner. The other two runs were 13.008 at 107 MPH and 13.2 at 105 due a bad 60 foot that was 2.1. Most of you told me to avoid the burnout box, when I did, I couldn't get a enough tracking and I was wheel hopping. The last run, I did a good burnout and had a 1.8 which helped my time in the quarter.

I will update photos of the car next week. Unfortunately I don't have any videos on the track "no video camera" but my cousin tapped me with a civic Type R that was boosting 11lbs pushing 325WHP and was running 12.6 all day on the track with stock tires.

I will upload the video as soon as I get it from my cousin.

The M5 impressed me and lot of folks on the track. The ASPEC clutch that I installed last month did its jobs, I was power clutching it throughout the 1/4 miles and it was grabbing real good on 2nd and 3rd gear. The car would get a good jump on everyshift.

Finally, my lunch off the line on the last run was at 4000 RPM where I let the cluch slip a little intentionally in order to get it off line without wheel hopping and flick it like a rubber band.

I think a healthy M5 with a good set of tires like the one's i have and of course a good Driver!!! will get up high 12's.

BY the way, Z06 covertte ran twice: first run 12.7 and the second run 13.3 missed 3rd.

Thank you

You have mid 12's if you can get your sixty foot time in the 1.6's. Drag radials "should allow" that.
