Its a Vinyl with leather texture to it. Just protect it how you normally would with a vinyl dash. The leather dash was only available on the Complete leather package, and is smooth like the leather on the seats!

Is it vinyl? I guess I can't think of what else it would be but mine feels like a very hard plastic. Is that a 2001-MY thing?

With all of that dash space, I prefer to keep it as matte as possible and use a damp rag or a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to keep my interior parts clean.

There is NOTHING like a freshly cleaned/detailed jet-black Beast! I love it!

The grills are marketed under the Race Mesh name, I believe. I know they are available from Bimmian, Beastpower and I am sure other places, as well.

I got them from umnitza... I have the top kidney grills and the bottom one as well... It might be alittle hard to see in the crappy pics I took with my iPhone... I originally had the ring black but didn't like it all that much so I swaped out the ring with the original ones that came with the car..

From everything I've heard on the subject, do not cheap out on vinyl cleaning/protecting products. Armor-all contains alcohol derivatives which dry out the vinyl and clog the material pores, so subsequent cleanings and moisturizing will not penetrate the surface. I use a damp rag, then Mr Clean Magic eraser, then Griots Interior Cleaner and then Griots vinyl and rubber dressing.

What do you guys recommend to clean the leather? Ive been using lexol leather wipes but i find they dont do a very good job cleaning. My problem is i am a tech so my work pants get dirty i hope in my car every day before i change to pull it up from the parking lot and the bottom portion of the seat gets dirty.

Id be careful with those mrclean magic erasers, they contain alkalines, ill tell you from past experience, never use them on your skin, i did and it left me with severe burns all over my arms. I had thick oil/grease on my arms/hands nothing would take it off, the magic eraser did at the expense of my skin lol.

I use Leatherique. I don't know what to "clean" leather with, unfortunately. I look at my products and while they most certainly clean to some extent they really are just leather maintenance products.

I have personally used magic erasers for years with no ill affect although I have never scrubbed my skin with it! It really is no more alkaline than dish soap (which removes old car wax from your vehicle wonderfully by the way). Maybe it was an abrasion from the foam sponge that was only further aggravated by the mild alkaline and grease/oil. In any case I am sure it hurt like hell. At least I won't be tempted to clean myself with them now.
