removing vanos solenoids

Hi,
Triad to remove the solenoids to replace hte o-rings. Got the covers off, but can not make the solenoids budge - grabbing the ends with pliers and pulling/wiggling - nothing - some slightly rotate a few degrees, others seem stuck in place. How hard is it? Dop not want to break things. Any suggestions?

Repeat the above, but adding 15%/20% more pulling power !

They will come out, and I had the same thought process as you above

Good Luck !
