How is the Z8 driving experience different than the M5 one? - The Unofficial BMW M5 Messageboard (m5board.com)

A thought just came up to me. Other than the differences between cars, I wondered how the Z8 driving experience differs from the M5 one. Maybe someone who actually has both cars could chime in here? Was it MEnthusiast? For that matter maybe one of you Z8 folks could tell us what you did at your DE and we could compare the results here.

I'm surprised that this was never discussed before.

they swore us to secrecy on the Z8 one. I didnt go to the M5 one b/c of scheduling. But I know they are different..................................

The Z8 experience is 3 days instead of 2 for the M5.... obviously, you get to drive the Z8 instead of the M5.. but the 3rd day, the Z8 guys get to go to the Michelin proving grounds with the Z8, where they set up some high speed courses for you guys to drive on....

its really 2.5 days:

day one you arrive in the evening for dinner and a surprise

day 2 is driving all day and a few surprises

day 3 is driving until ~5pm and a few surprises.

they begged us not to tell others because they are entitled to being surprised.

I have a few pictures that wount ruin the surprise if anyone is interested. (Just pics of Z8s parked- many colors!)

well I won't be buying a Z8 anytime soon, so can someone PM me and tell me what the surprise is? I would love to hear!
