Post Z8 owners are you out there?

Hi all,it's getting very lonely talking all things Z8,driving the mrs round the bend!.

How many Z8 owners are on the this board?.

I have had my Z8 for 3 months now and it is a dream come true, driven allmost all the current BMW range and nothing was quite so much a thrill as the initial test drive of the leviathan,i had to have it,so i swopped the E46 M3 cab and i have never looked back since.

ps does anybody have the leather bound book?,if so could you post a picture of the holy grail,i do not have it.

The holy grail is in the mail

Welcome, Silver Surfer!

Well, at least for us Yankees across the pond. We all (US buyers) received notices that we're being sent a "personalized accessory specifically produced for your Z8" compliments of BMW(NA).

We surmise the gift is the leather bound book, from a reliable source.

I don't know if it will be available to owners outside of the States, but I do hope you guys are also on the list. The e-mail address is "BMWZ8Owner@salessupport.com".

I do agree, the "Luxobeast" is a phenomenal automobile. I took delivery this past December (winter in New England), but, due to unusually mild conditions weather-wise, I was able to accumulate about 1100 miles so far. As I'm not beyond the 1200 mi. break-in period yet, I have only been able to experience a fraction of the Z8's performance ability. She's in the garage covered and connected to her umbilical cord (trickle charger) until Spring.

You make 14 Z8 owners on this board, at my last count:

MJ, ME, GJ, KeithW, NO-MERCY, Z8Dave, KQS, MegaHappy, Mattar, Nish, 2001'sX5/Z8, Orangemarlin, (myself) DrRob, and you. A small minority of the members here, yet a voice accepted by our M5 brothers.

Concerning my wife, I'm speaking to deaf ears with my Luxobeast accolades, but, when she's behind the wheel (this is the tenth manual shift she's driven), she's also in awe of this automobile.

Again, welcome to the board, and enjoy the Z8 experience.

Holy grail come to me!.

Cheers DrRob,i have emailed Bmw on the vague hope that i can wangle one from across the pond!.I await there anwser, fingers crossed.

I have seen some of you guys on Roadfly but for some strange reason i cannot post now,i was CT2!.

Come and see me car and at www.bm3w.co.uk ,go to the Z8 gallery.

There is also a forum about just the Z8 but i am on my own and take a lambasting from the M3,so it would be nice to get some genuine Z8 owners on board to give some common sense views for a change.

Although i do drive them round the bend harping on about how good the leviathen is,well it's only the truth.

ALOHA!!

If you are looking for the book ...

BMW has sent cards out to the Z8 owners. I got mine the other day. Send the card back and apparently they send you the book ... in your cars color scheme!!!

Howdy!

The question I would ask is whether the book is being done by BMW NA for USA customers or if it is by BMW AG for world customers. In any event, if you want, when I get mine I can make a scan for you.
