Loaner cars?

Well, I just dropped off my car for the day at the dealership to get some service work done on it.... I was supposed to get in at 8am, and was to get a loaner from them.. However, I went about 2 hours late, and my SA gave away the 330 he was supposed to have for me. But luckily, he just made a call next door to Enterprise and they got me a car. Too bad they only had Metros available, and after driving around that thing for half an hour, it made me REALLY appreciate my car... This is probably one of the worst cars I have EVER driven..
But anyways, the point of this post is that I'm curious what's the crappiest and nicest loaner people have gotten when they brought their M5 in for service?
For me, the nicest car I've got from my dealership is a 330i, and the worst is this metro....

I don't think anyone can go any worse than a geo metro with a dinky 3 cylinder powerplant. You've achieved both pinnacles in car-dom....the M5 and *clap* *clap* the metro.

I did get a Ford Windstar once...*shudder*

WHAT?!?? The Metro has a 3 cylinder plant??? I thought it was at least a 4 banger.... no wonder the damn thing wouldn't go above 50mph on the highway....

oh yeah... I did get a Chevy pickup truck once when I brought my Ranger Rover in for service...

Hey Terence - If it was Norwood, you should have had Dan hold a new 530ia for you!

I've gotten a 330 there as well as a 525.

FMW gave me a Dodge Neon last time - it was pretty bad. I hid my face in traffic. Clair Audi gave me a beat Honda CRV - that really sucked.......I think it was running on two cylinders so be glad you got three with the Metro!

tfung,

You know, it's funny how things happen. I was supposed to drop off my car this morning at the dealership (Peabody) to get some work done, too. I also ended up being two hours late. Fortunately, they still had my loaner there. I had no idea what they were going to give me. I ended up with a 525i ... touring! The thing is huge compared to my tiny little coupe. When I opened the trunk, the thing was like a bank vault door. I guess it's just what you're used to. Some nice low end torque is delivered out of that little engine thanks to the torque converter, but it doesn't have any good passing power.

Hopefully they'll be able to fix my problem once and for all.

My best and worst were both a couple of months ago. I took the M5 in for the fan recall and to get the rotors replaced. It was only supposed to take a couple of hours so they gave me a van to drive. I wasn't excited but I figured it was only for a couple of hours........then I found out some of the parts weren't in. I took the van home but I guess the Service Advisor felt sorry for me as he brought me a Porsch Boxter the next day and took the van back.

terence,

I used to be able to get a boxster. Some rare occasion I got a boxster S and once a 996 C4, most of the time is just regular boxster. Unfortunely, after (they claim) I broke the tranny on the loner boxster.. Now, I can only get a camery

So far , the one I've had the most fun with was a 3.0 Z3 Roadster.
I didn't think I was going to like it at first since it was an automatic, but that little thing had plenty of torgue and was very easy to drive around town!

My best was 330i. The car was loaded with all options. Has leather, PDC, Sunroof, ETC. The worst was Saturn sedan... You'd understand me how happy I am when I picked up mybaby in that afternoon.

The most interesting was Dodge Ram long bed pick up. It had decent ride quality and good acceleration (Much better than Saturn!!). Also I utilized the truck to haul my bed and futon.
