Not having a fan in front of a car on a dyno with a force induction on a hot day will make a big difference. Even with a fan its still not as good as 'driving air'.
I think I have actually gain a little more than 11 BHP, but I do not have a proof (yet)! ;-)
Long story short: Some small fine-tuning was necessary + new CPS sensors were installed. Then we ran the car on the dyno again (and measured the 451BHP), while still having old MAF sensors (~150000km old). Now I got new MAFs on, so I presume it would be 451+ on that dyno now ...
On a car with stock headers you should dyno around 460-470whp on a Dynojet. On a dynodynamics in the conditions you ran the car "100 deg and no fan" I would say the numbers you made are not bad at all. For reference you should get a dyno run on a dynojet with a good fan.
wow - congratulations. coming from someone who cant fix squat, you da man, as they say. spent the last few hours starting from page 1. glad you did not throw in the towel halfway through because of some nut. enjoy the drive! vids please! as impressed as i am with the car you now have, it pales beside the fact that YOU did it yourself. unbelievable. awesome!!!!!
This is a really Loooooooong thread now, loaded with trials, tribulations, tears, torture, and in the end some success - I'd recommend a fresh chapter to this odessy, fresh thead, one titled - "ESS SC installed - latest dyno & TONS of vids/pics" etc...
Well done raza - have finally gotten to the end of your epic build saga..
Now get some new dyno figures damnit! :hihihi:
