Raza,

I have some BBS stems with two caps that I was hanging on to, but I no longer have my BBS RK's. You are welcome to them if you think they'll work out for you.

"but im not done yet, the BBS wheels i purchased dont take regular valve stems, the hole is extra small so i need so BS skinny stems....yes you guessed it, nobody carries them. so even if my clutch had gotten here i would have still be screwed."

Keep in mind that centrifugal s/c's require rpm to build boost. That is when the car 'feels' faster (much faster)

Raza,

BBS LM comes with full metal valve-stem (metal neck and everything). I don't have a picture of the "valve-stem" by itself.

But here is a pic of the valve stem (the one that cames with BBS LM) mounted on the wheel (sorry I don't have a more "close-up" pic).

Regardz,

J Irwan

well so far around town it doesnt feel any different then stock, but there is a noticable power difference. i can easily break loose in second with anything above 2500rpm. my clutch doesnt slip at all unless i launch the car which i never do anyway, just did it for test purposes. shifting at higher speeds and jamming it in there the clutch holds just fine. i dont powershift so i have not tried that yet, but i figure a new clutch would hold just fine. no need for CNS or all this expensive stuff.

havent had a chance to shoot videos but ill try to either tues or thurs since i have a ton going on right now.

Glad you finally got it going Raza. The car should feel like stock in the lower RPM's and should drive just as smooth. Above 4000 RPM to redline is where you will begin to really notice the power difference. Like Raza said with normal driving we have found the stock clutch to hold up much better then we originally anticipated.

Congrats Raza! Now ship out my Cats!lovelove

i know....hiha

seems like the climax was all the issues i ran into, and from there on it was all downhill...

im just burnt out, the past 2-3 weeks ive been screwed out of $3000 easily. hopefully fedex doesnt weasle their way out of the stuff they ruined. but with my luck as it is, i wont hold my breath...ouich

Something just isnt right here. This is the same guy that went out and shot a video of the shift linkage pin for a member. The same guy who was upset about the first ESS supercharger not getting any videos up. I just cant believe now that the car is running that Raza has not taken 10 minutes and shot a video or two. Just does not seem right. And the few teaser posts after he got it running. Definately a weird Cat if you ask me.

there's no point in shooting any videos until after the break-in period, and after everything he's been through with the install and the headaches, I'd be similarly muted about the whole thing.

Once he takes it up to redline a few times after break-in and the blood gets boiling I'm sure he'll be forthcoming with some vids and more thoughtful impressions. On the other hand, not sure what you're expecting to see in the vid, seems the proof will be in the seat of the pants dyno.

if there's any confusion, the kit is great, i highly recommend it. you cant even tell its there unless you really get on it. great setup, especially for daily driving. ive only logged 50 miles and mostly all 50 have been conservative.

i got into it with an e55 last night and easily walked him without really getting on it.

Whoa! Cant wait to see what she does after 200 Miles!

The first of many...congrats!

more then likely. it holds up just fine as long as i dont try to drag the car which i never will.

are you going to dyno the car after you break her in? I'd be interested to see what the ESS kit puts down with the SS headers!

Great stuff so far, glad to see you killed an E55 last night too!
yes i will, i dont have SS stuff on right now. completely stock exhaust setup.

I need to get myself this kit.:byee55amg. I know that it's capable of beating the E55 and E60. Just by how much a how easily I am not sure. However, in one of Gustav's videos, the ESS E39 put quite a distance on the E60 with headers at speed. In any case, glad that you have it running now and I am sure the kill is just the beginning of the "rewards" to come.

Im waiting for the ess kit for the e60 M5 mmmmmm but got to wait till the end of the year for it. estimated mid to high 600hp :1:

#323 ·
Nah! Totally different ball of wax. For THAT kind of dough.....don't think I would go THERE on an E60 no less...but that's just me:grinyes:

This is more akin to the DA twins.

Prolly take the mileage down to below 5mpg on this LOL Fill up every 100 miles!

Not to say anything bad about ESS, but if this is the first delay for your E60 kit then it probable wont be the last. We went through a few of these setbacks waiting for the E39 kit. But you know how it goes when you are fabricating a new kit for a new car, $#^& happens and delays occurs. And at the end of the wait we got a product that was worth waiting for, (I only wish they made one with an IC for our cars)

#329 ·
Congratulations on getting it finished. Now it's time to enjoy all the hard work!

cheers

you could always just do a small FMIC option with a corresponding higher psi pulley for those who are willing to forego their warranty. That'd satisfy those of us asking for an IC and you wouldn't have to put the R&D and $$ into developing a new manifold. I'd love to see a kit like that from you guys.

Figuring out the pressure drop across the FMIC and retuning for it arent exactly easy to do. Fitting a smaller pulley isnt the correct solution, as the air temp/density is completely different from a car w/o a FMIC. I do agree though, I'd much rather have a FMIC than a manifold mounted IC.
