I have a strong feeling that the Clutch master kit that raz's is gonna install will be just fine. Why?? Because proper application, installment and use goes a long way. Clutches that are just burning up right & left and blowing up are more than likely because of mis-use & incorrect application. Keep in mind that the M5's stock Luk clutch is well know for being weak and some how they seem to last for tens of thousands of miles. 75,000 in my car and many other members cars aswell (if not more lol). Another thing is proper brake in of a clutch. I just installed a Spec stage 2 in my car and Specs says to put at least 500 city driven miles on the clutch before full engagement. Not to mention I doubt the stock clutches in are cars got much of a break in period when they were brand new. The dealers salesmen and the first owners probably got right in and started bangin gears as soon as they rolled off the truck. Granted this probably wasnt always the case but it's something to think about.
Did you ever get you SC in and running? Inquiring minds want to know. This is worse than having your favorite TV series cancelled at the end of the season...

man my ****ty luck just doesnt end, the clutch and slave will be here tomorrow...but i was suppose to pick up tires today which my friend sold because i didnt meet up with him sat like i said because my car wasnt running...so now i have to wait on tires too...
Sorry about the prob's Raza. Anyway, my kit's in and the car is faaast. We had a couple of problems with the idle speed initially but advice from AJ and Roman and the ECU got it figured out. I only have exactly 102 miles on it as I write so I have tried to restrain myself for the prescribed 200mi. break-in. Only problem with driving so-far is that the DSC grabs the wheelspin in first, second and sometimes third without opening it up yet. I'll report more after the weekend trip to the Oregon coast. I'm knocking on wood but everything seems great at this early stage. Also, any Northwest folks who can make it to the "SunRiver festival of cars" in Bend, OR, Sept.17th-18th. will see a great show and can check out the install.

it is now FRIDAY, i ordered the clutch wednesday and made sure they could get it to me by today, i even went as far as telling them to call clutchmasters and make 100% sure that i get it by friday because i dont pay overnight shipping for ****s and giggles...well on wednesday i had second thoughts about the clutch and was like ehhh F it, ill see how stock does. but they tell me it was already out the door from clutchmasters and on its way...BUT its now friday and i dont have a clutch. called them and asked where my clutch was, they told me it shipped yesterday, now im furious. they didnt let me cancel it because IT WAS OUT THE DOOR. But somehow it didnt ship until yesterday...wow this is just unbelievable.
but im not done yet, the BBS wheels i purchased dont take regular valve stems, the hole is extra small so i need so BS skinny stems....yes you guessed it, nobody carries them. so even if my clutch had gotten here i would have still be screwed.
the member i bought the V12 clutch from all of a sudden has a grandmother out in taiwan who has some skin disease, which is what my money was used to fund. well i really dont give a damn. paul has stopped answering phone calls, and text messages. really pathetic is what i view him as. he said he would SELL the clutch and refund me the money then. god knows when that krap would sell...

Yeah I never understood how it takes places sooo long to get stuff shipped out. They must wanna make sure your money is well into their pocket before they ship out the product.
no the fact my cars been on stands for 4-5 weeks is what is making me mad. this should have been a weekend project. but it has dragged on because other individuals are not honest.
"all you do is machine down the outside of the flywheel and redrill the holes for a 260mm clutch kit. that would cost you a grand in parts, and few hundred in machine work"
Raza
I have thought the same thing looking at pics of flywheels ect.
Tell me what dimensions you have on your modded flywheel, and in your opinion what you would need to redo......
(just happened to have a 3 axis CNC mill in my garage......)

dude Raza I can't believe you have had one problem after another! Sorry to hear about all the frustrations with the wheels, clutch(es) and the car being out of commission for so long but don't forget that it'll all work out and your car is going to be the sickness when it's supercharging it all over those butt monkey AMG's!
I think the ECU needs a few hundred miles to adapt. I know of a SC M3 with VF stage 2 SC kit and the owner said it feels stockish, it didn't make all the potential power till about 300 miles later.
I have some BBS stems with two caps that I was hanging on to, but I no longer have my BBS RK's. You are welcome to them if you think they'll work out for you.
