I cannot believe that the low pressure you are running would cause an temperature increase of 60+ degress (although i am speculating). and if the increase is below that, there will be no point in having an IC
The water used is in its own closed loop system with two air-water heat exchangers, one in the intake path after the SC and one in front of the car.

Ok thanks for pointing that out, i have learnt something today. what is the temperature rise after supercharging, but before cooling?

does this mean there is a separate water pump, is this electric or is it cranksahft driven (would explain the high cost of IC SC systems)?

It's a separate pump, electric. The temperature rise depends on the boost level and efficiency of the compressor as the major variables...hence the answer is highly dependent on those. Do some research on intercooling (or as some call it with water-air systems, aftercooling) as the web is full of information. Trick systems are out there for drag racing where there is a reservoir for a large mass of water to further increase the thermal mass of the water in the system, and you can also then put ice into it (and require the ice to change state or course which absorbs lots of heat).

Thanks for your concise answer, but that is information i already posses, let me reiterate what my original question was: (Rom3n and Asbjorn), what is the temperature increase of intake air before and after charging. with the ESS SC kit.

-I put this simple graph together a while back. It shows the stock S62 (blue), Dinan S2 S62 (orange), stock S85 (purple) and ESS S62 (green). The ESS engine is obviously the most powerful.

Note: These dyno pulls were done on different dynos at different times, but I believe them to be accurate given the sources.
I have corrected them to flywheel HP.

If added later, do we have to send the ECU back for a reflash, or can it be included in the original reflash for future use?
Regards,
Jerry

Water/Meth will run just fine on the regular VT550 tune to, but we made a version with higher timing for it especially. I do not recommend using this without meth or high octane fuel.

Not to speak for ESS, but I think Chuck answered the question. The temp increase after s/c'g depends on the boost. Probably little/no increase putzing around town under vacume/atmospheric. Keep in mind that during normal driving, including modest acceleration, you will typically not be pressurizing. As soon as you boost, the temp goes up per the ideal gas law PV=nRT. The temp increase will be related to the psi. As for the temp increase during boost in the ESS kit, I'd look at the dyno results... they don't lie. The kit appears to be well tuned for the temperatures the system makes. Brian's been toiling around in hot CA weather, so heat soak also seems acceptable.
