O2 sensor Tq specs please

Yes I always search, but I get far too many O2 replacement posts with no values.

If someone has the torque specs, I would appreciate the response.

Thank you very much.

I got OC code for Pre-oxygen senor which Is bank 2, passenger side in Ireland (Driver side US) - correct me if I'm wrong.

I got the code a number of times and reset it but it came back very shortly afterwards with Check Engine Light on dash. The last time I didn't bother resetting and ordered the part, it should be in tomorrow. However, I went for a spirited drive last night with a friend and we stopped someone for a few minutes, restarted the car and no check engine light. Still none today - so question is would you bother replacing it or not?

I did the MAF test with light on and got 137 so no issues with performance.

Hiya.

If you are in reality seeing a lean or rich condition then a tired pre cat o2 sensor may not be picking it up, and allowing you your 137 L/Hr...

In my opinion change both your pre cat 02 sensors every 60K miles or so, to help keep your M5 running at its max potential and safely.

I get them (Bosch 13477) for about £72 each (inc Vat and delivery) in the UK.

Cheers

Kumaran

I actually had this number in my head and was about to hook you up. This # is correct if you used an O2 sensor socket, but if the torque wrench was "off to the side" because you used a crow's foot attachment the # is different. Which way did you do it?

A decent torque wrench should explain how to compensate for a crows foot in its manual, but the formula/graphic can also be found online.

If you want your oil pan repaired (see http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/e39...rain-plug.html) instead of buying a new one or attempting the repair yourself PM me and we'll work something out. Thinking $60 profit is worth it. You pay all shipping of course. At the moment I have four remaining Timesert inserts looking for homes. If the demand is there I'll keep doing them. If not the tool goes on eBay minus one insert.

Before I went back to law school, I was a Physicist, so this calculations are cake. (total length; which is length + your extention) / (lever length of the wrench) then multiply that by the shown torque. You can move things around if you want to know what to set your wrench at.

Thanks for the reply though!
