Soon to bid you all farewell...

Got both my ///M5's up for sale.
Really interested in a clean second hand E55 AMG.
Damn, this car is fast
Made my E39 feel like a Fiat Punto.

Have to say, I'm being swayed by its sheer steamrolling power.
What have you guys got to say to prevent me from committing M suicide?

Whom I going to argue with over 5W30 oil vs 10W60 on the MB Forums?

i was going to the same thing as you, but the E55 is overrated. i am now waiting on my supercharger to ship and my UUC V12 clutch to arrive...so you can see what i opted.

Is it the reflection or did you paint the sunroof of your E39?

Buy a Japanese Bullet train it's just as fast as the Merc but it can go round bends and people will talk to you about it, unlike the Merc.

Keep the M go fast straight or bendy no need for tracks or to carry 300 passengers and people will talk to you as well, it's a win win situation.

You don't get silly reply's on Merc forums though.

If you really want to go even faster SUPERCHARGE.

To me it depends on what you want to do with a car. Do you want to drive it, or ride in it?

Drive it - M hands-down, and you know that.
Ride in it - Benz.

Just my US$.02

That's the thing, my car's generally have a very easy life.
No track days. I dont drive like a crazy on public roads trying to eek the last few km out of each corner.

Most of the time, my car trawls up and down the toll road to work and back. Ends up being a fast cruiser.

When the family is in the car, I notch it down even further.

I tend these days to get my kicks on my bikes - wheelies, sliding the back end, endos, stoppies, doing extreme technical rides.
When I get back into 4 wheels I just want to relax and let the adrenilin drain from my veins.

So if speed and kicks are covered...Why change to the Benz? Its a nice car but is it and M....is there more to the change/desire, sometimes a change is a good thing but it is the dark side....have to say the E55 is a nice ride though....
