Wing Mirror / Temp gauge

First delve into the knowledge base ...

My drivers side wing mirror will not move left and right and wont dip when in reverse but it does move up and down? How easy is it to remove the glass and does any body know where the problem might be?

Where does temperature needle usually sit, from previous BMW experience it should sit at '12 O'clock' but is this the norm on an M5? mine varies from '11 O'clock' to '1 O'clock' (if that makes sense)

Thanks

The driver's side mirror doesn't dip when in reverse, it's only the nearside mirror that does that. It is to aid parallel parking etc.

My Oil (I take it you mean oil temp) is usually just below 100c, but does edge past that mark on a really hot day when the 'trucking'.

Hope this helps.

I actually meant engine temp.

However ...

It went to BMW today and my thermostat and the rear anti roll bar are knackered so they are being replaced. It also had a full checkover and they were impressed at the condition of it. I felt like I was getting my school report all over again. :grinyes:

It needs only minor work to get it up mint spec, slight leak from the rear diff but they say that this would last until the next oil service. Usual bushes here and there but nothing to worry about.

Sorry Super-saloon, my oil temp is fine by the way.

Happy days, I love my M5 lovelove ... and I got it for a bargain!!!!!!!

No worries, at least your car is in good shape and that you are enjoying it!

The anti-roll bar bracket and diff leak are a common M5 problem, but are not major issues.

Have fun!
