Christ Almighty that's a big list. Hope it's running well after all that.

I prefer the 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' mentality with a good dose of 'fix it as soon as it does break' thinking. It's a bit cheaper! Not critisising - it's your money - but damn, that is a lot of money to spend in 21k miles.

Well good luck with it; far better to see than cars being ill-maintained.

Thats very true! I am in a way the same, but if i have some extra cash laying around, i may as well divert it towards the car. I have a passion for cars, and to me, a cars condition both mechanically and visually is a reflection of its owner. I guarantee you local guys will never see my car dirty, even after it rains. When it rains, i rinse it at a minimum before she gets parked. Once it stops raining, she gets a full wash/vac.

Anyways, not to scare any potential E39 Owner.

The only thing ive had fail on me was a CPS sensor, and that i used to my bargaining advantage Owner had BMW quote 5000$ to replace both vanos solenoids + labour to clean vanos gears!

You can tell you live in the city

I bought my 2nd one for £16k and must have spent £20k on it. Looking back, so much of it wasn't necessary so this time I'm doing the oppersite of you (kind of). I want to keep it in good nick but I'm upgrading in small sections and trying to keep the price right down.

Still managed to upgrade the whole Nav system. Still considering phone, headlights and the steering wheel. Ideally need to find a dead/dying facelift car and rob it for its bits

You bringing it to Kent on the 25th October? Be nice to see it
