Note equal length at any cost.

167bhp/2l : a higher specific output than an M5 without the aid of either variable valve timing, or individual throttle bodies. In fact they're good for ~200bhp with just a swap to throttle bodies.

The engine design was virtually unchanged from the Mi16 engine introduced in 1988, in fact the early engines had even greater specific output.

This was a car that cost £13k - an M5 cost >£60k.
Happy memories!! I had 2 cars with that same engine - a 405 Le Mans & a GTI-6, and can testify as to the brilliance of that little power plant. Great sound for a 4 pot too, thanks in no small part to that manifold. Can't wait for the grown up version on my M5.....

Hi Guys,

This looks like the final design/test version !

Please ignore the welding as these are my test set, and customer sets will be, (so polished up and FLAWLESS in every way), looking like XXX rated Porn !

Customers' sets will look more like these below (also not fully finished for customers but more like it), in terms of end finish, but with the above final design in terms of bends etc :

Thanks

Kumaran
