Does anyone have 8000K bulbs installed on their Beast? I tried to find out a little more about them but had very little luck. Those guys at HIDS4LESS said that they don't carry them because of the lack of quality. Are they Philips?

I heard that the light is really white. Any feedback would be appreciated.

IMHO I wouldn't bother with the 8200K HID bulbs. You'll just lose a lot of usable light by going with those bulbs. They emit less lumens than than the 6000K types which in turn give out less light than the 4300K bulbs.

For me, the 6000K bulbs is the perfect balance.

I am also really happy with my 6000K bulbs, I was just curious as to what the difference was with the 8000K bulbs (or is it 8200?). Is the color more blue, white, purple or what? Thanks!

If you look at a color bar you'll notice that the higher you go on the kelvin temperature scale the darker the color tint would get towards blackness. From greenish/yellowish we go to blue and then purple before finally becoming black. 8200K on the color temperature scale is somewhere around purple with considerable loss in light output (measured by lumens).

8200k hid kits:
1 peice osram/sylvania ballasts with internal ignitors
plug n play system
3 year warranty
550 right now

well all systems will say 8000 but in reality they burn at 8200k
