Just curious on what changed your mind to go with the CF instead of the FRP?

I think you got that backwards

I've seen F430s with CF diffuser as well as flat black, and I like flat black better.

Anyways, I wanted the carbon fiber version because I already had carbon fiber front splitters and was planning on getting the carbon fiber grilles.

But upon seeing pictures of both the FRP and CF versions, I decided that I want the FRP version.

The key element is basically matte (frp) vs glossy (CF). The CF version is very glossy and it will reflect the pavement a lot thanks to the way it curves and angles down. I think this will make some of the details harder to see. Now, the FRP version is a dark flat finish, so it won't have this problem at all. It will also go well with the bumper mouldings (and my license plate frame as well as my flat black M5 emblem). I just think that it's gonna be more fitting for the look that I'm trying to achieve.

Yes I did say it backwards but you knew what I meant. I ordered the FRP as well for the reason you said, it matches the bumper moldings and I also didn't want the glossy look. The CF version does look good and I even thought about it but since I have zero CF on my car I went with the FRP. Any idea when Ken will ship them out?

Your guess is as good as mine at this point. Tell you what, though: He's takes the cake as the sponsor that teases the most!

As far as I know, the FRP version is undergoing some minor changes to make installation a bit easier.

No, that wont work. The E60 has a fin that is set below the diffuser to eliminate rear lift at high speed (I dont think it makes downforce, but I could be wrong).

For our cars, you'd have to make something that scoops air from under the car near the diff (where the underbody is still flat) and accelerate it out the back. To some extent, our diffusers do this. However, if you want more, you'll have to get something like this molded up and fitted.
