Portland, then down the coast. Use to make the drive every year, untill my maxima became too modified to trust driving that far lol. Assuming i can get a set of stock wheels, ill be making the drive this year, but theres no way in hell im doing a 1500 mile trip without a spare tire, and 285/25/20 arent easy to find on short notice.

The 3.62 is slower in some situations

I plugged in the values from this thread - E39 M5 dyno results with graphs - U.S. Specs adjusted by 10% to get crank HP
3800 lbs, 0.31 drag, 24 ft^2 frontal area, 275/35/18 tires

I got the following: 3.15 vs. 3.45 vs. 3.62
30-60.....2.35....2.20...2.70
30-90.....6.50....6.35...6.25
30-120..12.75..12.50..13.10
60-90.....3.85...3.65....3.60
60-120..10.10...9.85..10.45

The 3.62 is slower because of the extra shifts.
I don't know if the numbers are correct, but I note the comparison is designed for the 3.45 car to reach those speeds just before redline (which is what hurts the 3.62).

For fun, plug in 30-65, 30-95 and 30-130 (3.45 has to do an extra shift, the 3.15 does not) and see what happens.......

Regards,
Jerry
