lol no i don't think it's canadian... not sure why that option would be exclusive... i was under the impression that it was standard on 01+ cars but not the first year models. i'll have to look in2 it

My car was a MY00 It was Carbon w/Caramel and I had an Alcantara headliner...still do...lol though I dont have the car anymore.
I had was was called the Executive Trim interior w/Burl Wood..I dont know of any E39 M5's without the alcantara headliner.

probably theft recovery. Mirrors, interior, all popular stuff, easy to strip and sell.
fwiw, the alcantara headliner was an option on earlier cars, but the standard one was dark gray fabric (just the standard fabric, but same dark color). My 6/00 produced car did not have homelink either.

the mirrors and seats are the giveaway that this car has been pieced back together. If you have a dealer friend, have the print out the dcs report on the car and see what the interior is supposed to be, and options.
