also, the sun shades are only avail in cars w/ the sport interior, it has luxury rear seats and the front seats look like 540i sport seats, im guessing it was vandalized somewhere and the the interior and mirrors were taken or it was in an accident and pieces went "missing" while the car was out of the owners hands. also the tamper light is on. i heard that dinan has records for all the cars they build, i dont know if its true, but it could be a beginning to get some history on it.

Also, the rear "hat' shelf has alcantara material while the the headliner doesn't and it's whitish or light greyish color to boot.

The front seat belt inserts on the B pillars are oddly grey and not blended in with a black insert as per usual.

The rear head rests are missing and the front head rests and seats are not what come in a M5. In fact, all seats are all wrong.

Ya, side view mirrors were very obvious.

The headlights don't look after market to me. They just look like they were polished and the same could be said for the tail lights.

The rears could be aftermarket though.

The rear doors could have been replaced completely from another Imola Red that had the sunshades package.

Too many owners on this ride.

Buyer beware. Very sketchy.

Funny, seller claims 0-60 in under 4.2 ! That Dinan S1 package is pretty darn Awesome to gain that much power from software ; )

FYI, that light is not the mileage tamper light, so there are no worries there. However, I wouldn't touch this thing because if the prior owner didn't appreciate the car enough not to part it out, he probably didn't appreciate it enough to maintain and drive it properly. This thing comes back with 4 owners and clutch replaced at 8k. Auto abuse at its finest gentlemen.
If not the tamper light, what does that light mean? (the one under "Miles" in the trip area)

interesting car... makes you wonder about the seats and mirrors though. Why no engine shot?

I thought all M5's came with Homelink. Also, is that Titanium trim around the NAV? I guess this care just has multiple personalities. They should have used the line, "No matter what kind of E39 you want, we have the one for you."

also, it being sold by an auction company, so that is another indication of the unsure history of the car. anyways, poor M.

Didnt catch the nav trim, good job!
Not all M5s had homelink, mine is an example of that . Atleast not for 2000, maybe it was standard later?...

This is like one of those contests, "whats wrong with these pictures".. Too bad no prize tho
Matt

Noticed the window & mirror panel is missing the fold button, atleast that matches the mirrors...

Wow so many descrepincies. I feel bad for whoever buys it and thinks theyre getting a damn good price. The first thing that caught my attention, was that it was being sold with no reserve.

The mirrors are wrong, seats look messed up, looks like some 8 year old tried to re-upoholster them, look to be the luxury seats in the back, but has the window shades. Alcantara rear parcel shelf, but tan headliner. rear view mirror doesnt look right. No follding mirror button too. I like how there are zero pictures of the engine. Only one of the Dinan sticker. Personally, if i was selling the car, id get a picture of those $2000 carbon fibre intakes and the beautiful S62, unless of course, it didnt have an S62!

the other thing i noticed, the sunroof control is on the opposite side mine is. Or maybe mines wrong? Ive never really noticed lol.

I call BS, perhaps a 530 or 540 with a pretty good M conversion to the untrained eye :P
