HID problems pls help

hey guys...I've tried to hook up an HID KIT to my fog lights (e39 with the M5 bumper) and it doesn’t seem to be working....the fogs start flickering and then shut off...the ballast and the bulbs seem to be fine after hooking it up to a different car, seems to work perfectly- Any suggestions or advice on how to hook them up or where to buy the cancellers from? A few different providers sell them but I m not sure where to get them from...thanks
