"The World's Fastest 4-door Sedan"

"The World's Fastest 4-door Sedan" according to the March 2002 issue of Road and Track is the Bentley Arnage T. Funny, they claim it does 0-60 in 5.5 seconds, and that it's top speed is 170mph.

I guess they forgot about the M5. Unlimited it can go a lot faster than 170mph.

Hehe Mr Bentley just try racing an M5 and we'll see if your 2.5 ton barge is still the fastest 4-door in the world.

Oh, that was a printing error.

It was actually the fastest 4-door sedan over $150,000.00

M5s aren't elgible for this class, as they cost less.

The new recommendation is not to buy an M5 unless you actually want the fastest 4-door sedan, regardless of price.

I guess coming off of the production line, the M5 is limited to 155mph, while the Bentley is 170 mph

Then it should be the fastest 4-dor sedan that doesn't have its top speed arbitrarily limited by the manufacturer.

The fastest sedan claim is based only on top speed. Road and Track and car and driver both make disclaimers in their articles about this. Their claim is that all other vehicles that are capable of faster speeds are limited and therefore not the fastest in stock form. The car is impressive though. Getting a car that weighs 5700lbs and has the aerodynamics of a farm tractor to do 168mph is no small feat. Then again the car does have a turbocharged big block under the hood. Hmmm....maybe before going the route of Nowack or a supercharger someone shold put that engine in an M5. 645tq would be very interesting.
