5500RPM = Misfires & Rough Running - ABS Module Related?

Earlier this week I removed the ABS/DSC Module to send it out for repair. Day after I was getting on freeway, had an idiot driver next to me so I nailed the gas, 2nd gear at 5500rpm the car felt like I hit revlimiter...
Tonight I was on my way home from work and decided to get on gas, again in 2nd gear, hit 5500rpm and car sputtered again, SES light came on, checked it and had Misfire #1, #6, Multiple Cylinders, as per Peake... Exhaust not got very frumpy (like a cammed motor), idle was rough
I was right around the corner from home so I just drove the rest and parked... Turned off car and restarted it, idle was smooth. I did not go back out for a drive, but I let her coast backwards out of garage and pulled back in, felt smooth...
I will of course be checking it out more in morning to see how shes acting...
Just curious, for those that have had to change the ABS module, any issues like this? (Also, the power steering seems to be stiffer, assuming its because of ABS unit as well?)

Thoughts?
Matt

Power steering (obviously) gets stiffer w/ sport mode on. Maybe the DSC / Sport mode is interconnected.
This is probably a question for the more experiencedon the board.

I had no problem when I had my ABS control unit was changed but then again that was when I was taking the car to the dealer. I don't think a fault with the unit would cause misfires. Could be your CPS is on it's way out.
