UPDATE:

Waiting on bulbs from Auto Illumination. I will also need to send some MORE bulbs back and do another exchange. Please be patient guys, I screwed this up BIGTIME, but I will make it right in the end. PROMISE.

Also, if anyone is concerned about soldering in their door bulbs, it is VERY EASY. I did hdhntr23's on Wed ( he said he was going to post pictures, but who knows.... LOL) . SUPER easy. If anyone needs pointers, let me know. I can post some pictures in this thread of my method. Only took me about 10 minutes to pop all of them out of the doors, solder them, and pop them back in.

I was amazed at how fast they all went in. Yes I will get some snaps in tonight... I HOPE, its rained here the past 2 nights and that doesnt make for good photo ops.

Question
Hey Guys,

I got the bulbs on Friday....sweet, Timmy I got you IM regarding the 2 39mm bulbs sent by mistake and need 2 44mm bulbs for the trunk. Since you classified your vehicle as the "bastard" with different bulbs, I check my 2001 M5 bulbs out. I installed the interior glove box, and 3 interior lights and they look great...I have not done the doors yet. However, I check my trunk bulbs, 1 bulb is a definate 44mm my other bulb is completely different....question is do you guys have anything like this and what should I do? see pictures

2-3... depending on how strong and if you have a lift for the tranny and the car... Just did it with 2 a few weeks ago

I am still waiting on a return email from auto illumination. I do know what bulbs are needed, and will order them as soon as I get the green light from them. For those that have the wrong bulbs, PLEASE contact me and verify what you need in the trunk. I am finding some cars require different bulbs than what is specified.

This is the LAST GB I do for sure. What a headache!!
