Tinted window ticket, guess how much?

Just got the tinted window ticket, $250. Yes that is right. I had before but it was $25. First I thought they did mistake because I stop by police station to ask and she said $25 to send. After little search I found out tinted window fine went up $250 by 15 January 2009. I am going to hearing, hope they dismiss it.
Watch out guys..

I got pulled over for tint but they said since I'm a "guest" here in VA and that I don't have to change it....but I'm in the system for tint so I get pulled over about once a week to remind me that I'm a "guest" in VA

I think New Mexico does have some kind of law regarding window tint. Thankfully they havent enforced it, at least in the smaller towns. It may be different in Abq and some of the larger cities down south.
When I go to Texas I always get pulled over, usually several times. Last month when heading to the home place I was pulled over 4 times, and that was just on the way there! They inform me that even tho I am registered and live in NM they can still issue a citation. They never do, but they will not pass up the opportunity to tell me they CAN. I was also stopped 3 times in Austin and stopped twice on the way back home(different route) although one was for speeding outside Abilene. I'm always polite, sneak in my LEO ID along with registration, insurance, and DL. Received a nice little warning printout for my speed. Usually when everything is finished I'll ask a little question: Can you also cite me for not having a Tx state inspection sticker? Of course they cannot, but it does get the point across that holding my tint to a different states standard, other than the one in which I live, is pretty silly.
Sam

Tickets have become a main source of revenue for many cities in recent years. A sad state of affairs but this is the norm in San Francisco. Parking ticket revenues often support many other city services.
