Does your sunroof popup?

I'm curious, does your sunroof pop up when you push the button to go up? Mine doesn't and I wasn't sure if this is normal or not or if this is even a featured

It pops up indeed. Even if it's open in the fully retracted position and I push the button "up," it closes and pops up.

And if the sunroof cover is closed and I pop it up, t he cover rolls back a few inches on its own.

Sounds like your lifting blocks are broken. BMW sells a repait kit with several sunroof parts. You will probably need two kits. There are several DIY write-ups on this.

I searched b4 but no luck Sunroof Problem - Bimmerforums - The Ultimate BMW Forum
