Car wont boost after "hibernating" during winter :)

Okay so i've had the vanos thing that was faulty to start with and i put her to sleep during the winter, i was going to boost it up but i was unsuccessful. I tired boosting it up with another car but it would just go "click click click" and so would all the lights on the car. With every clicking the car restarted itself too completely, the language on the monitor would go back to german etc etc...everything would reset. All lights would go ON and OFF during each clicking. Now i wonder do you guys think it could be because the battery is totally ruined and needs to be changed? or is it something else?

Thanks....I couldnt be more unlucky when it comes to my best! im so tired... hehe

It is unlikely you will be able to boost off another car. There is also a really good chance that your battery is toast having been fully drained.

Sounds like time for a new battery and a Delrin Battery Tender.

You need t charge the battery or put a new one in. Jumping it will not help. Hen storing your car, make sure you disconnect the battery. the BMW electronics drain the battery when it sits and can kill the bat.

Well, clicking is better than a single 'snap'. Clicking = battery, 'snap' = bad starter.

Time for a battery.

Depending on how bad your discharged battery is, you can try jumping. It takes a lot of juice.

I had luck with a dead battery by putting a jumper pack directly on the battery and running a booster car (SUV) of the front underhood terminals and letting the jumper car run at fast idle for at least 10 minute before trying.
Regards,
Jerry

i went to a gas station and they re-charged the battery for me, today the car started like a champion..however there's a ticking sound from the engine room, and i do have a faulty vanos so i dont know if its that which has gotten worse but its ticking and ticks faster as i gas more...what can it be do you think? it seems to be coming from top / right side of the engine...

Keep an eye on the battery. Once you have had a full drain and recharge it's never the same. Been there, done that.

It's only a matter of time (not too long) until you need to replace it. The colder the climate, the sooner.

The ticking sound might be your engine knocking due to the stale gas thats been sitting in the tank. it ticks faster as your revs go up right? .. did u put any gas stabilizer in the gas tank prior to winter storage? change out the gasoline or add gas stabilizer and see if that helps..
