from what i can see there is noway to get to the bolts on the throttle bodies until the head is off, but i have undone the bolts on the back of the head that hold the black boxes on. im having issues removing the rest of the wiring box since it plugs into the fuel injectors.

any advice on how to remove the wire boxes?

thats what i thought it was, we are talking about the clips on the portion of the box that has the plug that goes on each injector right?

those are going to be such a pita to get off, you cant even see most of them.

TIS doesnt even mention the removal of those, while on my 540i i was able to yank the box and the box came off. i tried that on the M and it was a no go.

guess ill scoop up a pick tomorrow along with the 32mm socket, 4 open end 28mm wrenches, cherry picker, and engine stand.

nope, in the tis it goes from 2 arrows point up and the box is all of a sudden off the fuel rail. pretty useless diagram they had. nowhere do they mention removal of the pins.

thank you for sending me the diagram though mike, it was worth a shot.

looks like ill pick up a few different pics tonight so i can get that box off.
