Water leak

I have a leak which fills up he rear passenger footwell on the driver's side - anyone had anything similar? I can't figure out where the water is coming from!

You may want to check into you roof drain that is in the panel right next to where the roof panel meets the door panels. This can become clogged and cause a leak into the car. I read this on another 5 series board awhile back. Could be your problem. Let us know how you make out, good luck.

Thanks - is this at the front or the back of the car?

There is 4 on the car, 2 on each side above the front and rear doors on the strips that run down the sides of the roof. They may be filled up with wax residue or dirt. They are very small so chances are they might be clogged.

Thanks - I used a hose to check - it looks like it's coming in from the front drainage ducts but how it gets from there to the rear passenger footwell beats me! The car is parked at a fairly steep angle facing upwards and I managed to extract 2 cups of water from the holes where the carpet lugs fit!!

A suggestion: once you have found and taken car if the leak: get the carpets out, all of them, and get them really dry and place an electrical passenger compartment heater inside the car to get the moisture out.
