01 M5 v. 09 C63?
I was offered an 09 C63 AMG. It was very tempting but I passed. I'm sure it is a great car.

"offered" as in i walked into a mercedes dealer and he "offered" to sell me an 09 C63 AMG, and didn't take it??... or "offered" as in i was "offered" an 09 C63 AMG for free but didn't take it??... b/c if it was the latter you should find yourself a mental clinic to check yourself into...

so which "offered" was it???

mmmm...,just like how Keanu Reeves refused that famous offer from Al Pacino in The Devil's Advocate. Sure would have given you pleasure though.

C63 is a beast in a staright line.

EDIT: I messed up the classes. I was thinking of the E63 AMG. That one is about on par with the E60 M5.

Drove one recently. It is VERY fast in a straight line, and it didn't seem like it would do badly in the twisties. I would not run for pink slips.........although I would not trade it for my E39 either!
