In other words, does the kit include everything needed to install the supercharger kit? All piping, tuning software, all hardware etc. Does it come with an after/intercooler as well? Oil cooler?

I can't get in touch with them for the life of me. ...

Thanks

Based on the pace of their "development" I suspect that even ESS doesn't know what their kit will include!!

I was all psyched for this, but finally gave up waiting. I understand that things take time, and I applaud them for attempting to develop FI for our aging cars....but they have dragged this out so long, I would be reluctant to drop so much coin with a company that is SO far off schedule.

Putting my flame suit on...

Perhaps we are being a bit hard on ESS?! Just my humble opinion that this project is a huge undertaking on behalf of ESS to bring something to market. A lot of time, energy, and money invested on their part. I have no affiliation with this company - just giving my two cents.

ESS went from hero to villian on this board in a very short time. I feel I owe them patience as reciprocity for their financial investment thus far. Not sure it was fair for us to treat them poorly. Perhaps the ESS delivery goals were ambitious, but we shouldn't necessarily have negative feelings for the company that is trying to bring an economical solution to E39 M5 SCing. Again, just the way I see the world.

I strongly suspect that their delays are an investment in the longevity of the sc system once installed. If they did run into some issues during development then we should be thankful that they caught them and are finding solutions before release. I could only imagine the negative press ESS would get on our board if the first few M5 board member test mules were to perform at only 90% and each experience was posted on this board for all to see. I'm just saying, there has got to be a good reason for the delay! They certainly didn't invest all that time and money just to let it die on the vine. I can assure you, as a business owner, they want to bring this project to market - but only when it is up to their standards. This is my humble opinion - that's all. Not trying to push anyone's butttons.

Not sure why there are communication issues with ESS. My experience has been positive. I pm'd Rom3m from Ess and rec'd a response within 24 hours. I've had nothing but great dealings with him. I have done this a couple of times over the last month or so. ESS has always responded to my pm's.

I do hope for the board's sake that the kit comes out soon and equally important is a reliable system. I know I am saving up for this system and were it not for the current financial climate I would have preordered the system already!

Cheers and respect,

Up.
