Found that euro car parts has a sister site (carparts4less.co.uk) that doesn't have many discounts, however, the Bsoch battery sells for about £115, next day delivered. Could come in handy!

Have a look at this link:

Bosch BATTERY 110Ah - Car Parts 4 lessCar Parts Retailer

I hope this saves some money for you guys!

Battery gave up on the weekend with the doors open for an hour or two... I even remembered to swithch the lights off !
Old battery had the black eye, so popped to ECP and £133 ish later, an S5 bosche number. Slightly smaller in size, so a bit of insulating tape
was used. Initail start up much quicker and stronger and better low down pick up ?

Well the original battery was 9 years old and I decided to change it as a preventative measure. At the time there was £10 between an alternative and a BMW battery so went for the BMW battery. Well its started playing up even though its only 3 years old. Doesnt last more than 4 days , somethimes less, and even after a long run , 5 minutes with the door open you get the dreaked click of death.
I have no battery drain issues that I know of and the magic eye seems to be as usefull as a chocolate tea pot to indicate the real battery health.
Its on a trickle charger now and thats helped but clearly its on its way out.
Eurocarparts, have the Bosch S 5015 for £113.87 delivered to your front door so have bought one just now.
That should solve the issue.
Use discount code BATTERY 15 @ checkout for a 15 % discount.
Cant grumble at that price.

Regards,

Nat.
