Ended up buying the M5 that I asked about earlier, the one with the solid PPI. 2002, 59k, titanium silver on full black, options are M-Audio and rear shades. All I can say is WOW. My background is driving and working on Audis(a 95 S6 is my 4th) - I took the beast around some twisty roads to familiarize myself. The power is definitely shocking, at least initially. I'm still having trouble modulating the throttle in first and second gears - it can even be jerky sometimes(possible issue? fuel filter? vacuum leak?). However, it pulls like a raped ape in 3rd-6th...this thing is scary fast and triple digits feel insignificant(but you already knew that). Anyway, just wanted to say hello. I've been lurking on this board for a few months now and know it to be a fantastic resource. I live in Northern Virginia(Arlington) so if there are any local meets planned, let me know or tell me where to go to find out! Looking forward to a blissful ownership experience with this silver beast of mine.

This is a common challenge. A smooth 1-2 shift takes time to master. Even then, you'll be slapped for any slight lapse. Separately -- more so when cold -- throttle tip-in won't be very linear until warmed up. Unless you're seeing a weird idle, or feeling a hesitation, or getting some codes on your Peake, don't automatically think problem.

Congrats on your purchase I'm pleased you've found a good example; when they are in good health they really can shift. Also a +1 for posting pics - it's the required initiation I'm afraid. Happy motoring
