Seems like forever since I put the car up for the winter.... but it is soon to be back in the streets.
Here is a crappy pic of one of the mods i did over the winter. Recaro toplines. I also put longer 3.15 gears in..(used to run 3.64's), took out the 86lb. stereo system in the trunk... and also replaced the SC'r pulley, tensioner pulley, and the crank pulley. Went from an 8 rib... to a 10 rib.
So now the car is about 170lbs lighter without losing ANY of my creature comforts. The recaros are heated!!
Now I just have to get the bumper painted (sitting in primer for 2 months).. and she'll be ready to go.
Anybody else have some projects they have been working on over the winter....?
I've been doing mostly electronics, replacing the stereo with a lightweight (one Alpine PDX-5 amp, Alpine replacement speakers in the front doors, Audio Control DQXS with stock HU, and two 10-inch subwoofers comparable in weight to M-Audio subs they replace running IB in the rear deck) system that sounds infinitely better, adding a video adaptor and DVD/CD player to replace the stock CD player and enable video while in motion through the stock HU (for my wife on long trips). Also replaced a broken button in my environmental control unit--what a PITA!--and finished installing ultimate pedals (again, a real PITA, but worth it). Before Summer, I still have to get the Zionsville radiator and fan in, and new Evosport power pulleys. Go back and forth on seat replacements. Going to do it, but can't decide between Recaro Sport Toplines (very cool and full featured and light relative to stock, but heavy compared to other less full-featured seats) and Corbeau TRS racing seats (which are extremely light and very cool, but bare bones when it comes to features). How hard were your Toplines to install and whence did you source them?

Heh, I thought there was only pre-summer, summer and post-summer. Brace yourselves Houstonians. Its going to be a hot one.
Vic
I grew up in Houston and left there as soon as I could. Swamp weather 75% of the year, and absolutely unbearable for about four months (95% humidity and 95 degrees). Fun city, though. Lots of driving--everything is so spread out.

winter time project included brakes, headlights, new nav, hid fogs, ssk, and next week bluetooth..... we have way too much snow and way too much salt to pull the car out... I have taken it out maybe less than 10 times Nov-March
