Videos: Dyno M5 with CNS Racing Exhaust

Well, I finally got around to dynoing my M5 at ISP Racing in Beltsville, MD. My car only has CNS Racing exhaust no resonators and UUC Clutch and Flywheel direct fit. My runs were pretty consistent. It was actually pretty funny there was a new M3 who went ahead of me who had 311hp to the wheels. When the guy printed my numbers he said the new M3 came in lower than you. He also said the M3 redlines at 8500 RPM's. I just smiled and said "I saw." I wish I could have dyno when I was all stock. I know the numbers would not have been significantly different. My buddy with a 335 with a piggy back and Rennart exhaust put 350 HP to the wheels. The dynojet gave me the following:

1st Run: 333.27 HP 321.01 Torque, Temp. 74.29 Degrees F Humidity 30

2nd Run: 333.58 HP 321.01 Torque, Temp. 74.77 Degrees F Humidity 30

3rd Run: 332.34HP 320.54 Torque, Temp. 75.05 Degrees F Humidity 30

Thanks for the vids. 333 is on par for a fairly stock S62. The M3's numbers are interesting- is the claimed 414 a little ambitious?

I think the guy in the M3 was disappointed! The 335s were very impressive.

The only drone I have is under 2k RPMs on a very cold start up and putting the pedal to the floor.

Hey AMCBimmer,

Man, after listening to your exhaust back in November I had to get it. I ordered the mufflers from CNS, and the Supersprint X-pipe from Vivid racing. Finally got the x-pipe (after two month wait), and got a exhaust shop in Manassas to put it all together.

Man oh man, I have not turned on my radio in the past two weeks after having the exhaust installed .

Now look forward to gunning it when I come to a bridge overpass or tunnel .

I have SS headers and Xpipe along with magnaflow mufflers and under 2000rpm I have alot of drone . It happend after I removed the OEM resonator and the headers. It's all I can hear in the M5 while driving on low rpm and giving 50%+ pedal. It's a really low frequent sounds that works its way into your ears. I have been thinking of going for a new muffler like UUC or eisenmann but CNS has a special offer on CNS Racing rear mufflers to 799dollar and I'm thinking of getting it.

So BMWBIZ, you like your setup?
