Mystery dash light - next to DSC triangle

Hi all, I have a mystery light that showed up after I unlocked the secret menu of the OBC. I don't think I actively changed anything, but...

It is two yellow cars, maybe tailgating each other or parking and it's to the left of the DSC light in between speed and RPM gauges.

Does anyone know what it means or how to turn it off?

Thanks!

I searched for 30 min on 'obc' zdash light' 'warning light' etc.

If you don't post a link, would you please suggest some better search terms?

Search is your friend...

I don't know how you spent 30 minutes searching. I put in "DSC" together with "dash light" and got this link from the search results - One single try at even less than 30 SECONDS...

BRAKE, ABS, DSC Light Question

You could always RTFM...

I have had this happen to me when I unlocked the menu. You will need to disconnect the battery positive and negative post and wait about 30 minutes before reconnecting them. Before reconnecting the cables, touch the two cables together to make sure you have cleared all circuits. This worked for me to get rid of the light.
Good Luck

bngf5god: I don't see how that post relates to my question: it only talks about the BRAKE, ABS and DSC lights. I did RTFM, I even read my 540i manual and a 525 manual that I found and none of them had any reference to the light with two cars that I could find.

wfoM5: Thanks for the potential solution! I will try it out tonight.

I should have specified that I searched and looked in the manual. What's the protocol for describing prior actions? From other threads, I figured that it was assumed that you read the manual and searched the forums before posting.

Now that's just downright funny

It is the symbol for the laser cruise control. I'm not at all interested in digging up the original thread, but here is a 2nd generation one. It was not offered on our cars (at least not in the US) so we surmise that there was some part re-use amongst vehicles...

at least he asked a legit question, not some bs like what oil should i run, what tires are the best, or something else along that line.

it wont hurt to ask a question every now or then. yes i agree you could find it by searching, but that's not always the case. if the question had been simply answered, this thread would be dead and gone.

I'm gonna have to go with the OP on this one - I just don't see any reference to the light he asked about in that thread, and it wasn't an option on our vehicles, so it won't be in the manual either...
