Hello. I am still new to this forum, and don't really know anybody. I know you guys are an awesome bunch, though, and would love to be part of this community.
I found a 2002 M5 with 65K on the clock for about $22 grand. It is a 1 owner.
I live in NYC, and traveling to Chicago just to look at the car is a little too much. The car is at a dealer. Zip code is 60131.
If somebody lives close by and would be willing to go and check the car out I would be very very grateful. I want to know whether this is the one
Please PM for the complete coordinates. Thanks a lot!

Most people ... BMW Dealers ... do not like Luxury Motors.
My cousin got a 545i from LM ... under factory warranty ... went to BMW for some repairs ... they discovered that the car has a door repainted .... I mean light accident or something ... and bye bye warranty ... the carfax was clean .... by the way ... heard and other stories ... but this is a real one ...
He has problems with one tire pressure sensor or whatever ... the tire pressure light comes on in about 100 miles ... after beeing reset. Not fixed yet until today.
another thing ... other friend went to LM for a test drive (maserati) and they asked him for $1,000 cash as deposit before the test ... the car was priced at $50K
I bought my car from Luxury motors O'Hare and I would NEVER ever buy from them again. Their sales people are liars as well as their managers.
You do get what you pay for.
When I bought mine, I had to take back 3 times for several reasons and they always gave me the run around. Car didn't come with cd changer, M floor mats and navigation cd. I was not aware when I bought it. When I went back to get those items replaced, they said the car was bought "as is". Took some floor matts off a 5 series and said the car did come with M floor matts.
There are other forum members who have had bad experiences. Please do some research before you hand them your money.
Hey guys thanks a lot for letting me know about luxury motors. I guess I got a little too excited there about finally getting an M5. I looked at the different reviews of their site and it seems that quiet a handful of problems from them.
I guess I will keep searching for now. Thanks again.
I'll add a counter point. The car is what it is. LM probably doesn't go around trying to find flawed cars to foist onto their customers. They probably get much of their inventory from auction. The source of many auction vehicles is inventory that doesn't move off mainline dealer lots, or cars that they take on trade. This doesn't necessarily mean the car is bad. My RR beast was very close to being auctioned because it wasn't moving off the BMW dealer's lot. Reason was it had a cigar smell in the interior. I picked it up for a good deal four years ago and I've been very happy with the car... she's a keeper (and no cigar smell!).
Point is, every car should be subjected to a PPI no matter who you buy it from. Purchase decisions should be based on this information.
LM does have slimy sales people and probably lousy service, but if you are bringing the car back to NY, you probably won't be seeing much of LM after you buy the car in any case.
