Windshield help

So something kicked up from the road the other day and put a huge crack in my front windshield. I am trying to get the replacement. Anyone know the part number for the double glazed glass that is for xenon lights and also has the built in rain sensor?

I would highly recommend going to a dealer. It will be more expensive, but it will be well worth it.

In 2004 there were 4 different windshields for the M5, now there is at least another one ... maybe more. It is better at reducing incoming heat. New design ... slightly green all over, instead of greener across the top. Each windshield has a different application ... one with rain sensor, one without, one with a special coating for reducing the heat, etc.

Also it is important that it be properly shimmed when installed (read about it elsewhere on here). There is a BMW specified shim kit that should be used. The reason? So you don't get wind noise. A few guys here had theirs replaced at an independent place and had wind noise afterwards.

Also, BMW says NOT to drive the car for a day afterward.
