Ebay Listing in my town!!! Need help

So I have been looking around for a black M5 for a while and whatyaknow on eBay today I see one in my town. Go figure! Anyway, it is currently at like $6,000 with a buy-it-now of like $25,000.. which I think is a bit much. Can you guys look at it and see what price you think is fair for it in this current market. Also, I googled the VIN but carfax doesnt seem to be loading for me.. if anyone can manage to get it that would be greatly appreciated.

Hard to imagine the pictures being any more worthless. Bizarre. BIN price is way out of line for that car. Also, subtract for the junk wheels (compared to OEM which are worth much more). Similar cars have sold in the high teens recently.

If I were you, I would print off some other listings and ads for similiar cars (years, miles, etc...) and go test drive it. If it seems like something you'd be interested in, show him the prices of the other cars, and if he'll drop the price to what you see fit, go get it checked by a dealer or indy BMW shop. He may be trying to get extra money to pay for his mods, but in reality they don't often raise the value of the car.

Dinan parts are a plus, DVD is a plus, but wheels IMO are a minus and retract any additional value of the Dinan parts...
Car is quite a bit overpriced it seems..
I am not up on current prices, cause its depressing. But I recall seeing an 03 with lower mileage for around the same price...

Thank you everycredit. I emailed the guy today, and low and behold he goes to my same university.. crazy. I cant believe I hadnt seen it around campus. Anyway, it ought to make meeting up with the kid and checking the car out a little easier.

FYI I would want to know why he is selling it.

A listing for my car just expired, same price as that one, Jet black on black, about $9K in mods and restoration, but higher mileage (at 95k). You can see the updated pics in my profile I believe.
