Indy Experience

I was in Ohio this past week for a funeral and my father had told me that he had found a (what looked to be a nice BMW Indy Shop). So on Monday we decided to go check it out and inquire on some E30 M3's which I have been looking to buy. We get there later in their day and look at the cars. What a nice selection they had. Every example of cars they had were pristine and just looked to be in Tip Top shape. We looked a few cars and then met the owner Eric and what a pleasure he was to deal with. Knowledgeable, honest and very helpful. My father and I ended up chatting with him an hour past when he closed. Eric is a great guy and although I didn't buy the car yet, he will get my business and the rest of my families business. On the way home my dad both agreed that Eric was a great guy and had a great shop. If you are looking for that "M" car he has it. He is very selective when buying his cars and only takes the finest examples and then goes the extra step. This is what a BMW shop should be. A true BMW enthusiast! Eric's website is Enthusiast Auto: Main If anyone is close by I would suggest stopping by and checking out his inventory.

You get what you pay for. Being a service and performance facility, it is in our best long-term interests to sort each car out - that is why our quality, reputation and costs are what they are.

It was great meeting with you and your father. How is your 200K mile E39 M5 doing? I'm happy to see higher mileage M5's on the road still in such good shape - truely pays to take great care of them!

Nice website.

I got to drive a sister to your Touring some years. A guy down in south Florida had a '95, so we swapped cars (my worked on 91 20020v Audi wagon). His was a little faster and had better low end torque (3.8L vs. turbo 2.2L). But a beautiful and impressive wagon, very stealthy and that is the car that got me to get on M5 board many years ago looking for one! (I "settled" for an E39 M5 )

At least on the '00 M5 you have listed, the asking price seems fair and realistic, especially if it has been gone through and really made to run/look as it should!

Glad to have you here!
Regards,
Jerry

Jerry,

Congrats - you are one of VERY few people to have driven my wagon - I purchased the car from a Danish Citizen in South Florida - he brought it over in 2000, I purchased it in 2006. He shuttled the car between Denmark/Germany and Florida several times. Must be nice....

Thanks for the kind words. We work hard to ensure our cars are tip top and that is why we buy all of them back from our customers when they are done enjoying them!

Yup, that is THE car then!! Got to know him through Rennie Bryant, one of the owners of Redline in Pompano Beach. Rennie did work on my race car ('71 2002)
.
Small world....too bad BMW didn't go touring with the E39...

Enjoy the ride!!

Jerry

The boys at redline also helped him out with his 1995 540i M-Sport I purchased from him. It was a cammed Dinan S3 w/a SC - 475BHP - what a monster! That was the car that brought Neils and I together on the Touring. I think I'll be buried in the M5T - it is only one of two made in this color and we have spent quite a bit building up the engine.

Really is a shame they didn't bring over more tourings in current models.
